I am writing today on behalf of the <Chapter Name> ASHRAE Chapter, as I am currently serving as the Membership Promotion Chair. It was brought to my attention that you recently joined ASHRAE, and our Chapter, through the <Name of Conference>. I would like to welcome you to ASHRAE, and to the <Chapter Name> ASHRAE Chapter.
You have chosen to join a wonderful organization! As I’m sure you may be aware, membership in ASHRAE has many benefits including:
- Access to the latest and best technical information in the HVAC&R industry
- Professional development
- Networking with peers

A great sample welcome email for your new members…

Good afternoon! I wanted to take a moment to welcome you to the ASHRAE Southern Piedmont Chapter! It is a pleasure to have you on board, and hopefully I will have the opportunity to meet you at an upcoming meeting. Our first chapter meeting of the season is next Thursday, September 1, at Byron’s Southend, 11:30am-1pm. Chapters – would you mind us removing gr August 16, 2011
Chapters – would you mind us removing grade change from the chapter change report? You only count advancements (associate to member) and student transfers (student to associate). Grade change seems to be confusing folks with PAOE, and it’s not relative to PAOE…thoughts?
